Milkweed Giveaway- 20 seeds
$0.00
Description
Milkweed is the host plant for the newly listed as endangered Monarch caterpillars. The butterflies are attracted to the plant and lay eggs on the underside of the leaves. Milkweed contains toxic cardiac glycosides and it is this toxin that makes the caterpillars poisonous to those who try to eat them – hence their bright, “keep away” coloring!
For the third year running, I am giving away milkweed seeds from my garden. I am offering two types this year: rose/swamp and common. Please indicate which you would like, or a mix of both. These seeds are harvested and packaged in 2022.
